Filter Housings
The 10” Cartridge housings have a 20mm inlet and a 20mm
outlet. Available in 10” and 20” size
10” Meltblown Cartridges
for the effective removal of dirt/rust up to 5micron in particle size. These are not re-useable, once they are blocked up they must be replaced.
Flow rate – Approximately 1200 litres /Hour (when new)
Lifespan – depends on the amount of dirt in the water and the water usage.
10” Scale Stopper Cartridges
Used for borehole water, these are 2 in 1 cartridge, it removes dirt/rust up to 5 micron and it contains the crystals for lime suspension.
Lime suspension means the lime is not removed from the water but it will be suspended so that it does not settle onto the pipework, geyser elements, taps, shower heads, toilet basins, etc. The crystals, however, only work up to a total hardness of 500PPM (parts per million), hardness refers to the level of lime in the water, hard water = high lime. We recommend a water analysis be done to determine the level of hardness for the borehole water. With a hardness above 500PPM the cartridge will not be as effective. Average lifespan is approximately 4 – 6 months depending on hardness, amount of dirt in the water and the water usage.
Flow rate – Approximately 1200Ltrs/Hour (when new)
Siliphos Crystals Recharge
These are used for lime suspension. They work up to a total hardness of 500PPM. They dissolve in the borehole water and form a coating over the lime mineral so that it does not settle (prevents scale deposit) on to pipework etc, especially on hot water reticulation systems i.e. geysers, shower heads etc.
Empty Canisters
These are used as a casing for the Crystals. In many situations when the crystals are placed directly into the Filter housings there is insufficient contact between the incoming water and the crystals, so the empty canister allows the water to flow up through the empty canister for sufficient contact with crystals and then out, thus more effective application.
Activated Carbon Filter
For improving the taste of your borehole water, removal of excess chlorine, unwanted taste or odour. Lifespan – the recommended change frequency is 6 months however this is dependent on usage, as well as the preference of the user. With low odor/taste problems the cartridge can be used for longer as often the activated carbon component which improves taste/odor will deplete after 6 months.
Countertop Water Purifiers
A domestic type water purifier. The Countertop Housing is equipped with a valve to connect the unit to the kitchen taps / mixer nozzle.
The Special cartridge removes dirt, bacteria, metals such as lead, improves taste/odor of the water.
Lifespan – the recommended change frequency is 6 months however this is dependent on usage, as well as the preference of the user. With low odor/taste problems the cartridge can be used for longer as often the activated carbon component which improves taste/odor will deplete after 6 months.
6 Litre Stefani Flex Water Purifier
A stand-alone unit with no connections to the water source, instead water is poured into the top vessel and will filter through the special cartridges into the bottom vessel which is fitted with a tap to access the purified water. The Cartridges for this unit are dome shaped to suit the type of housing.
Lifespan – the recommended change frequency is 24 months however this is dependent on usage, as well as the preference of the user. With low odor/taste problems the cartridge can be used for longer as often the activated carbon component which improves taste/odor will deplete after 24 months. The cartridge is washable and it is recommended that it be cleaned using steel wool as often as possible.
Chlorination:
For Use with JoJo Tanks and Many Other Applications (Abattoirs etc)
Inline Chlorinators
used to chlorinate water for the killing/prevention of bacteria and algae in water. These are installed at the inlet of the JoJo tanks or reservoirs. Water comes into contact with the chlorine cartridges giving off a chlorine solution going into the tank, this way it has more effective contact time in the storage vessel to kill bacteria/algae prior to pumping to point of use.
When the water is used for drinking, the chlorine dosage must be adjusted to allow enough chlorine to kill the amount of bacteria in the system (chlorine demand) and also ensure a maximum amount of chlorine left over in the water (chlorine residual) is <1 PPM which is the maximum allowable limit to be safe for drinking. The Housing has an Adjusting Feature to assist in regulating the dosage.
This can be used in normal potable applications abattoirs , chicken house applications etc’.
